As a bass player, I have always been a fan of Flea, the bassist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I’m not a huge fan of their music, but I still think the bass lines are absolutely killer. While learning the bass for their song, “Look Around”, I decided to watch a live video of them in concert. That was when I noticed something entirely unexpected: Flea wears skirts on stage.
That may not be news to some of you, but it was certainly a big surprise to me! I love seeing men wearing skirts in places with high visibility and considering how big of a band the Red Hot Chili Peppers is, the stage is definitely a highly visible spot.

It always excites me to see this sort of thing because it just goes to show that it really isn’t a big deal at all. The fact that he wears skirts is such a non-issue that even someone like me who is interested in his biography had no idea about it until randomly stumbling upon it in a video.
