I’m not entirely sure what to make of this video. It’s great seeing men wearing dresses, but at the same time, I get the feeling that it was more for entertainment than for actual serious discussion.

I finally got to watch the video and I get what you mean about was it just for entertainment
But I don’t think it was. I think there’s such societal baggage associated with men wearing dresses that it would be otherwise impossible to have a show about five men wearing a dress for the first time. The mirth surrounding what they’re doing allows them to be serious about the idea but also leaves them with an excuse. Cause the world of men is way to fragile to suggest outright that men can wear a dress.
I’m not transgender, nor am I gay. I’m a straight man—a husband, a father, and a grandfather. I navigate the world as a man, embracing a unique expression of myself through women’s clothing each day.
For me, it’s not about adhering to conventional ideas of femininity. I’ve never been drawn to heels or heavy makeup. My wardrobe is a collection of comfortable and expressive pieces—tops, jeans, skirts, pants, and other womenswear—chosen for how they make me feel. This is an everyday reality, not a performance or a trend. For well over 30 years, I’ve embraced this way of living, fostering a sense of balance, authenticity, and joy.
As the sole boy in a household of strong women—four sisters, a formidable mother, a grandmother, and a great-aunt—I began experimenting with girls’ clothes in the late 1970s. What started as quiet curiosity transformed into a profound desire to be seen. I faced shame and even physical confrontations for how I expressed myself. At 18, I left home in search of freedom.
Now, I want to share this message:
You don’t have to hide. You don’t have to conform to a label.
There’s space for you—just as you are.
If you’re facing struggles, remember: there’s life beyond shame.
And if you need someone who understands, I’m here for you.
A man who knows
