This video just made me happy. A day organized by the Swiss organization, Die Feministen (The Feminists), called for men to come out in large numbers wearing skirts to work in Zurich, Switzerland.
Since starting this blog, I have heard from a number of men whose interest in wearing skirts and other clothing typically found in the women’s department has led to them questioning their gender. This is also something I went through and it almost cost me my marriage.
I chickened out today. I woke up this morning with the good intention of wearing a skirt when going to the city of Regensburg, but got cold feet and changed into pants right before catching the train.
This is a very interesting article about exploring masculinity through fashion. It featured a lot of men wearing gender-non-conforming clothing and discusses how this can be used to explore a man’s masculinity.

In many ways, Alex is a typical man who just so happens to enjoy wearing skirts and high heels. He is married to a wonderful, supportive wife and has a young son. His hobbies include reading, programming, metal music, playing instruments, video games, cars, hiking and a number of other smaller things.
